Content of the course

  • Signs and symptoms of hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia
  • Types of diabetes
  • Glucometer calibration
  • Capillary blood glucose testing
  • Insulin administration by injection pen and pre-prepared syringe
  • Hypoglycemia protocol

Success criteria

Demonstrate mastery of techniques; Attend and participate in the entire course; Obtain a passing grade of 80% on the written knowledge assessment.
